I’ve been in the promo industry for many years and there’s so much to love about our business. Nothing renews my passion and excitement like the January trade show season! It’s the time when we see new products, get a pulse on the industry, learn new things, and build upon our relationships with friends, colleagues, customers and partners. This year, the shows in Orlando, Las Vegas, and Fort Worth definitely delivered.
As a new member of the AIA family, it was so great to have the chance to meet so many wonderful people from our Owner Community. Thank you all for the warm welcome! I am incredibly proud of AIA’s active engagement and support of these industry events especially during these unprecedented times. That being said, we also understand why some people chose not to attend because we are sensitive to the challenges in our world these days. For those we missed, we hope to see you soon!
Our attendance at the ASI and PPAI shows provided an excellent opportunity to share valuable insights, market data and new ideas with our owners, their teams, and even some prospective owners. So, here’s a few highlights from each of the shows:
- ASI Orlando (Jan. 4-6) was a fabulous experience. The AIA team was able to engage with many in our Owner Community as well as host meetings with sixteen prospective owners. Our CEO, Nancy Schmidt, participated in the panel discussion with industry leaders and got to spend time with Tim Andrews, the CEO of ASI, to discuss the industry and technology solutions.
- PPAI in Las Vegas (Jan. 10 – 13) was equally productive! AIA hosted several small group sessions including a Young Professionals Happy Hour, a New Owner reception, and round table discussions. We also held meetings with fourteen prospects. In addition, our CEO, Nancy Schmidt, spent time with Dale Denham, the new CEO and President of PPAI to discuss our partnership and strategize how we can best work together to support our Owner Community.
- At ASI Fort Worth (Jan. 31 – Feb. 2) our AIA team enjoyed meeting and speaking with some of our Owners and some new prospects. Fort Worth offers a smaller show than Orlando, but this year it was still bustling with activity and the show floor was busy every day. One of my favorite parts of the week was hosting our owners for dinner at a traditional Texas-style restaurant where everyone had a great time!
All of us at AIA are excited for the opportunities to come in the new year. We are honored to be one of your trusted advisors and we are firmly committed to supporting your growth and success. With our relentless commitment to our vision of Community Strong, Owner Experience and Trusted Partner, the AIA Community is poised for a strong 2022!
