Biggest Takeaways from PPAI Las Vegas, 2022

Post Date:

The PPAI Expo provides those in the promotional products industry with opportunities to network, learn new skills, and experience the latest trends as they’re happening. For the first time in two years, the show took place in person at the Las Vegas convention center this January. Thousands of suppliers, distributors, and small business owners from all over the world came to participate and it was the perfect way to kick off the new year!

Best Events:

Young professionals happy hour: Our younger team members had a great time sharing drinks and snacks and networking with other young professionals in the industry. This event was the perfect opportunity to get to know the next generation of promo industry professionals!

Product Pavilion sneak peek: One of our favorite parts of PPAI each year is walking through the new products pavilion. It’s amazing to see what suppliers have come up with, and spot trends for the new year.

Women’s Leadership Conference Networking event: This event offered an awesome opportunity for women in promo to get to know each other. We’re grateful to have so many capable women in our industry!

Trends to Watch Out For:

Eco-friendly finds continue to be a trend going into 2022. We saw lots of sustainable product options, as well as products that give back to the environment and community when you purchase them.

Another trend we saw a lot of was neutral and muted colors. After almost two years inside due to the pandemic, it’s no wonder calm, relaxing neutrals are so in right now.

Best Finds:

“My favorite part of the show was spending time with our Owner Community in attendance. My favorite find was the awesome fuzzy sweatshirt that I got from Bella+Canvas. I have never seen anything like it.” (item #RN87370)

- Nicole Stachowicz, Sales Account Executive

“The highlight of the show floor was definitely the vending machine at the HPG booth; I loved the interactive element!”

- Amy Griffith, Marketing Communications Coordinator

“As someone who’s still relatively new to the promo industry, it was exhilarating to see everything offered at the show! I really enjoyed getting to see the products and suppliers I had otherwise only interacted with online, especially the neon signs by Threadfast. This industry is truly so unique!”

- Natalie Heidenreich, Content Marketing Specialist

Best Conversations:

“After months of mostly virtual interactions, it was particularly rewarding to connect with so many in person, to learn from one another, and discuss business opportunities and growth strategies, face-to-face.”

- Nancy Schmidt, CEO

"PPAI Vegas was a great opportunity to connect with new distributors and suppliers while reconnecting with friends and peers who I have known for my entire promotional career.  My favorite part of the show is the energy you feel - and this year it was awesome.  I always leave energized and excited for a new year.  Cheers to 2022!"

- Julie Ross, Business Development Manager

“My favorite part of the show was being able to reconnect with owners, suppliers, and my fellow AIA team in person and strategizing on how we can make 2022 the best year yet. Getting us all back together early in the year allowed us to set the groundwork for success this year.”

 - Andres Blanco, Owner Success Director

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year so successful!
